CMF Flow

Flow-based trend: buys when CMF shows net buying pressure and sells when it shows distribution.

Entry Logic

Buy when Chaikin Money Flow(20) crosses above 0 — volume is flowing with rising prices.

Exit Logic

Sell when CMF crosses below 0.

How Rules Combine

Money Flow Multiplier = (Close-Low - (High-Close))/(High-Low), CMF = Σ(Multiplier×Volume,20)/Σ(Volume,20). Positive means buying pressure.

When It Works (Market Edge)

Confirming breakouts with participation: buying pressure accompanying the move improves follow-through.

When It Fails

Divergences can linger: price can rise while CMF falls for weeks without reversing.

Common Myths

Myth: Positive CMF guarantees price will rise.

Truth: CMF measures where volume is flowing, not price outcome. Price can still fall on light volume while CMF is positive.
