What counts as a custom backtest?
Any strategy you create or change yourself. If you use a preset exactly as-is, it doesn’t count toward your daily limit — even on different assets or time periods.
Are preset backtests really unlimited?
Yes. Preset strategies are always free and unlimited. Try them on any asset or time period without signing in.
When does the daily limit reset?
Every day at midnight UTC. You can see how many runs you’ve used today just below the Run Backtest button — it shows Used / 5 and when it resets.
How does short selling work?
With short mode on, your exit signal opens a short position (−100% exposure) instead of moving to cash, and a buy signal closes the short and goes long. You can set a daily borrow fee — 0.01% per day is typical for perpetual funding. Margin calls and forced liquidations are not modeled.
How do refunds and cancellations work?
You can cancel, change plans, or update payment details anytime from the billing portal. Just click Manage billing. Tax is included and handled automatically.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes — you can switch anytime in the billing portal. Yearly is $72 per year ($6 per month), saving 33% compared to $9 monthly.
